Weighted strings threaded through a glass tabletop come to rest in causal patters on the floor, inspired by an underwater image of the myriad anchor lines of fishing boats moored at rest. This image of snorkeling in a harbor amidst anchored boats’ lines, animates the mysterious sense of buoyancy and gravity that the piece establishes. Miss’s use of these references she would later term ‘images on an extended scale.’
